Jose Marti Montero

Jose’s beginnings in photography were under the instruction of the photographer Alberto Korda who famously documented the Cuban Revolution. Jose’s passion and focus has always been to document the way of life, politics and struggles of the Cuban people.

Though he resides in Havana, he likes to shoot rural life photographing such subjects as horses, sugarcane field laborers and cock fights. Many of his photos are striking as he utilizes strong silhouettes to create visual impact.
